Description
Product name: Phlp1 Allergen – Phleum pratense (Common timothy) allergen 1
Product description: Phlp1 Allergen – Recombinant Phleum pratense (Common timothy) allergen 1 produced in Nicotiana benthamiana by Agrobacterium-mediated transient expression.
Description
Host species: Nicotiana benthamiana
Molecular weight: 29.5 kDa
Tag: C-terminal His-tag
Uses: For in vitro research use only. Not for human in vivo or therapeutic use.
Relevance: Phleum pratense (Common timothy) Phl p 1 is the major allergen from grass pollen1. This glycoprotein is a group 1 allergen with a molecular mass of approximately 30 kDa2. Phl p 1 contains the majority of group 1–specific IgE and T cell epitopes3, and its homodimeric three-dimensional structure has been shown by x-ray crystallography. Phl p 1 is highly allergenic and can be used as a diagnostic marker to identify patients that are allergic to grass pollen due to its strong cross-reactivity with group 1 allergens from related grass species4,5.
Specification
